Honeywell Lyric C1 Indoor Wi-Fi Security Camera (RCHC4100WF) - Review 2022

The Lyric C1 photographic camera is the latest addition to Honeywell's Lyric family of smart home devices. Priced at an affordable $119.99, the C1 offers many of the features y'all'd await from a full-featured security camera, including move and audio detection, deject and local storage, and email and push alerts. It doesn't work with other smart home devices or with If This And then That (IFTTT) applets, though. For that, you'll have to upgrade to a more expensive camera like the Nest Cam IQ.

Similar in appearance to the Vivint Ping, the cylinder-shaped Lyric C1 is 4.4 inches high, 2.5 inches wide, and 1.8 inches deep. Its housing is white and has a Honeywell logo beneath the lens and a small LED indicator that flashes dark-green when the camera is trying to connect to a Wi-Fi network and glows solid greenish when it is continued. Installation and Performance

Installing the Lyric C1 is a snap. I already had the app and an account from two previous Lyric reviews, just if this is your offset Lyric device you'll accept to download the app and create an account. Two-way audio was clean, with proficient volume. The motion and sound sensors worked perfectly, but I found the Depression motion and Normal sound settings worked best to eliminate false triggers. Push and electronic mail notifications arrived immediately, and recorded video looked every bit as good as the live feed. The geofencing characteristic besides worked well, turning the camera on when I left my house and back off when I returned.

The Honeywell Lyric C1 is a relatively affordable, full-featured dwelling security camera that lets y'all monitor your house from anywhere using your telephone or tablet. It provided precipitous, colorful daytime video in our tests, but its dark vision wasn't quite as practiced. The motion and sound detectors worked flawlessly, promptly sending push and email notifications when triggered, and recording the events to the cloud and to the included microSD card.
